Our
first annual Book Drive was held from Nov. 19 - Dec. 7.
Here were the details:
* We asked that every student in grades 2-8 to donate 2 books from their designated list.
* Books that were donated were required to be from the approved list that was sent to
each grade via e-mail on 11/19. These lists are still available for
download. (See below)
* A $12.00 donation could have been given in lieu of the 2 books. Library
personnel will then make the purchase of books that are needed.
* Each student making this donation, either books or money, will receive
an out-of-uniform day, picnic at the park (student provides their sack lunch)
and a label in the books they donated recognizing them as the contributor.
Here are the results:
The support for the book drive was incredible and there is much excitement in
the library and among the students about the purchases we will be making!
We had 35 books donated and enough funds donated to purchase at least another 130 books. Thank you for your overwhelming support.
On Wed., 12/19, the participating students will be rewarded by an
out-of-uniform day and a picnic at the park with their sack lunch. They also
enjoy a label in their book donations showing them as contributors.
