What grades does CCS serve?
We serve students from K4 through 8th grade.

Do you have an annual Open House?

Yes!  Our Open House for the 2012-13 school year is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  Join us for a campus tour, introduction to your child's prospective teacher, and discover what makes CCS a great school!

What are the hours of operation?
K4 – Our three-day, half-day program runs from 8:00-12:00.
K5 – Our five-day, half-day program runs Monday-Friday from 8:00-12:00.


For 1st – 8th grades, class begins at 8:00 a.m. each weekday and school
is dismissed at 3:00 for 1st-5th grades and 3:10 for 6th-8th grades.


Extended Care is available for after school hours from 12:00-3:00, from 12:00-5:30 or from 3:00-5:30.  Please contact our office for pricing options.

What are your class sizes?
We believe that a smaller class size is important to enhance the learning environment.  The following information indicates the size for the class indicated.
K4 - 12-15 students per class
K5 - 18 students per class
1st grade  -  22-24 students per class
2nd-8th grades – 25 students per class.

What other classes do students attend during the week?
All of our students attend chapel, physical education, art, music, and foreign language
classes.  In addition, our middle school students are able to choose from various elective classes which include chorus, drama, art, foreign language, and chess.

When does registration begin?
We have an Open House in January for fall registration.  Prospective parents and students are invited to visit our campus and classrooms and meet our teachers.  Registration begins at that time and continues until classes are full. 

Do you offer a foreign language?
All students from 1st-5th grade attend Spanish classes at least two times per week. 
Our middle school students attend on a rotating quarter basis five times per week.

We are excited to be able to offer French as an elective to our middle school students beginning in the fall of 2010.

What denomination is CCS affiliated with?
Covenant Christian School is affiliated with Covenant Church of Mobile, a non-denominational church.  Our teachings are based on Biblical standards.  We have students & families from many different churches in Mobile.  Many are members of Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and other non-denominational churches in the area.

Is CCS accredited?
Although our school is not currently accredited, we have been in operation since 1982.  Our students leave CCS after 8th grade
well-prepared to attend the parent’s choice of area private or public schools.

What curriculum is used in the classroom?
Our curriculum has been carefully chosen to meet and exceed State of Alabama standards.  For details about our curriculum, visit our Academics page or schedule a meeting with our principal.

Do you serve lunch?
We have a cafeteria that is open daily for students to purchase snacks and lunches.  Lunches are brought in from various area restaurants.  A daily charge applies.  If parents choose, students may also bring their lunches or snacks from home.
